Puppy Duck

I have many nicknames for my little Ada GSD. One of my favorites is Puppy Duck. Way back when she was a little puppy, she would carry this little rubber duck around with her. Even placing it in her food bowl as she ate. It has been a while since she has played with the duck, but this evening, at the bottom of the toy box, she found her old friend! Ada pounced the duck, paraded her around the house a few times, and then took her friend to snuggle on the recliner with her.

Weekend Visitor
We doggy-sat for a friend of mine for a weekend. Our doggy
visitor is named Adele, and she is a Husky/Lab mix. Overall we had a good
weekend, but it did wear poor little Ada (GSD) out having a pup in her home.

Ada was happy to share her pool, and the tennis balls – but Ada does have her own “special” toy that seemed to have disappeared during the weekend. Once my friend came over to pick up Adele, Ada watched as Adele jumped into the car, and as soon has the car was out of sight…Ada ran to the grill, dug from underneath, and out came her favorite toy! It must have been so stressful for her to go the whole weekend without!
